About Michael:
With a career background in the entertainment industry, Michael started her writing career with an award-winning mystical screenplay, followed by a YA occult adventure novel. She then developed several television and film projects on the subject of arcane spirituality and mysticism. Since she started her editing career, she has edited over one hundred manuscripts (including non-fiction books, novels, textbooks, and seminar materials), and has coached numerous writers on their spiritual and self-development books.
Michael holds a graduate degree in Religious Studies from UBC, where she concentrated on the spiritual and esoteric traditions of antiquity and the history of hermetic ideas. Her principal topic was Julian the Apostate, the last pagan emperor. Her post-graduate studies were in the field of metaphysical science; she wrote a thesis on Helena Blavatsky and Theosophy and a dissertation about near-death and soul aspects of Iamblichean theurgy. Michael holds a Diploma of Certification as a Mind Body Spirit Practitioner from the Center of Mind, Body, Spirit Medicine, a certificate in Sound Healing from the Sound Healing Academy, and is an ordained minister with the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry.
